ROOKIE guard Jeron Lastimosa has inked a three-year deal with Magnolia on Friday, in time for the PBA's Season 49.Selected ninth overall in the 2024 PBA Draft, Lastimosa signed the deal in the presence of Magnolia coach Chito Victolero and team manager Alvin Patrimonio, while being accompanied by player agent Edgar Mangahas.Mangahas, who also represents several other PBA and collegiate players, posted a photo at his Instagram account on Friday.
The former Adamson star playmaker is taking the spot of veteran guard and former PBA Defensive Player of the Year Jio Jalalon, who along with Abu Tratter, was traded to NorthPort recently, in exchange for incoming sophomore Zavier Lucero.The 26-year-old Lastimosa will serve as an understudy for veteran guard Mark Barroca, even as the Dumaguete City native continues to rehab his knee. He was diagnosed with a torn ACL prior to the start of the UAAP's Season 86.
