Jeep updates its most recognizable and most capable SUV, the Wrangler, for 2024 adding more capability and safety, along with revised styling and technology.
Inside, the 2024 Wrangler now has a soft-touch instrument panel thanks to it being wrapped in either fabric or polyurethane. A new 12.3-inch touchscreen—the most advanced and largest ever offered on the Wrangler—fits in the middle, powered by the new Uconnect 5 infotainment system. The larger screen necessitated new rectangular center vents.
The Trail Rated Wrangler continues with its robust body-on-frame design, but customers can specify “full-float” axles on the Wrangler Rubicon. This setup, typically found in heavy-duty commercial trucks, separates the wheel hub assembly from the axle shaft via a spindle bolted to the axle tube. By using a full-float axle design, the weight of the vehicle is transferred to the axle tube rather than the axle shaft itself.
