MANILA, Philippines — Pao Javillonar , who missed the first two games of the season, came in ready to play for Letran in Season 100 of the NCAA men's basketball tournament. He worked hard during the off season, shed some weight and embraced the new system of head coach Allen Ricardo. Season 99 was forgettable for the Knights after finishing with two wins and 16 losses.
After scoring only one triple last season, Javillonar fired three triples in the first half against Arellano to show his improved range. 'What motivated me is our last year's performance. We want to be back on track, we want to bring back the legacy of Letran, and this all starts here, me getting back in shape. PBA can wait and I am focusing in the present, which is this,' Javillonar said after receiving the Player of the Game plum.
