Recently, I had the opportunity to sit down with Janno Gibbs , a talented actor-singer-composer who has now transitioned into directing and producing. We discussed his father, Ronaldo Valdez , who passed away. Janno shared that his father's birthday was on Nov 27 and requested that the interview be published on this day. He also asked for prayers from readers for his father, as his children miss him dearly.
When asked about the process of grief, Janno explained that while his sister Melissa went through denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance, he did not experience denial or bargaining as he was the one who rushed his father to the hospital. His father was in extreme pain in the months leading up to his death. Janno did experience anger, but not towards his father, but towards the police's handling of the investigation and speculative vloggers. Depression hit him on the second day of his father's wake, after he had to function as the head of the family on the first day
