New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, who was caught on microphone swearing about rival politician David Seymour, has joined forces with him, auctioning a signed transcript of the comment for charity.

Ms Ardern's comment came after Mr Seymour, who leads the libertarian ACT Party, peppered her with questions about her government's record for about seven minutes during Question Time.Her words were barely audible on New Zealand's Parliament TV but were just picked up in the background. Mr Seymour then suggested the auction idea to Ms Ardern at an end-of-year party with journalists and Ms Ardern agreed.The online auction, which was billed as "Ardern, Seymour join forces for pr***s everywhere", attracted more than 280 bids.
