A schoolboy who was flung metres down a busy Perth road in an alleged hit and run is recovering in hospital with his father by his side.
Robert Corps, 14, was crossing the road on the way to the train station in Beckenham, in the city's east, when he was hit by a car just before 4pm on Wednesday.
Bystanders at the nearby petrol station rushed to help before Robert was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital in a serious condition. "You try and be strong. But yeah, it's just, it's heartbreaking seeing your kid in the hospital bed with, all banged up," Troy said.Nearby security cameras captured the moment the aspiring basketballer was hit on William Street, near the Railway Parade intersection.
