Is this the Philippines' first modded next-gen Ford Ranger? Ford FordPhilippines FordRanger NextGenFordRanger CarGuidePH

Well, that certainly didn’t take long. Just a week prior to its official Philippine debut, Ford dealerships across the country have started releasing the next-generation Ranger to the first batch of owners. One lucky owner, in particular, went straight to have his new truck modified.could be the country’s first modified 2023 Ford Ranger.

The truck in question looks to be a Meteor Gray colored Ranger Wildtrak 4x2 based on the standard roof rails and sports bar. It also looks to have the standard LED lighting .After clocking less than five kilometers, it looks like the owner drove straight from Ford EDSA to Concept One along Santolan for his first round of mods. There, the owner chose to replace his stock 18-inch alloy wheels with a brand-new set of Black Rhino Raids complete with Nitto Ridge Grapplers measuring 275/55 R20.

The Black Rhino Raid itself is a relatively new design, launched globally just last April 2021. The wheels themselves weigh about 39 pounds per piece and comes in a Matte Black finish which blends well with the Ranger Wildtrak’s various black exterior trim elements. Meanwhile, the Nitto Ridge Grapplers provide “the best of both worlds” with its dynamic hybrid tread pattern. On road, it has a quiet and comfortable ride, but off road, its deep aggressive side wall lugs and tread pattern provide capable performance. It’s also unique in that it has a dual side wall design. The owner, of course, chose the “aggressive” pattern over the “traditional” pattern.

As dealers start releasing more Ford Ranger units this weekend, it’s going to be a real possibility of seeing one in the wild before its officially drops next week at the first leg of their Island Conquest test drive tour.
