Intel on Wednesday, March 17, announced the launch of its 11th generation of desktop processors, nicknamed Rocket Lake.
Intel boasts of up to 19% generation-over-generation IPC performance improvements, as well as 50% better integrated graphics performance. Additionally, the Rocket Lake processors have enhanced overclocking tools and features to allow advanced users to tune their experience accordingly. Among the offerings is the flagship i9-11900K, which is priced at $539 and can offer up to 5.3 gigahertz of processing power, 8 cores, 16 threads and 16 megabytes of Intel Smart Cache. This processor also supports fast memory speeds in the form of the DDR4-3200 and DDR4-2933 memory types and uses the Intel UHD Graphics 750 for its integrated graphics.
