Queenslander Alan Dare has been remembered as someone who was "always there to help" even in his final hours.
The 58-year-old died after going to investigate gunshots at a neighbouring property in Wieambilla, when he was fatally shot along with constables Rachel McCrow and Matthew Arnold. His family and friends said their final goodbyes at an emotional service at the Centenary Memorial Gardens in Brisbane's south West on Friday.Queenslander Alan Dare has been remembered as someone who was "always there to help" even in his final hours.

Queensland Police had no criminal history on shootersNew information from the ongoing investigation about the Queensland Police shooters has revealed the shooters had no known major criminal records leading up to the attack. In 2014 shooter Nathaniel Train was issued a driving offence, an incident where he crossed the Queensland border illegally when NSW residents could only enter Queensland if they were vaccinated. Additionally, he was carrying two firearms but was a licensed firearm owner. Gareth Train’s only offence was unlawful firearm possession in 1998, as his license was expired, while Stacey Train had no criminal record.
