"Secretary of Energy designate Popo Lotilla informed the DOE that he has tested positive for Covid last Saturday and is currently undergoing medication at home and self-isolation," the statement posted on Facebook read."He has informed the Palace of his medical condition and will continue to provide updates," the DOE said.

"Despite this, the DOE has been providing updates to the Secretary designate on matters affecting oil prices and other pertinent items for the immediate action of the Department," it added.The total number of COVID-19 infections in the country thus reached 3,733,101. Meanwhile, the recoveries in the country increased to 3,652,587, while the death toll rose to 60,641.
