BONTOC, Mountain Province – Sen. Imee Marcos personally distributed educational assistance to 1,000 students in Mountain Province at the Mountain Province General Comprehensive High School here on August 20.
The assistance is under the Makabasa Latta! educational support program for victims of typhoon “Egay.” Each beneficiary received P5,000.
Marcos said that despite calamities being experienced in the country, education for learners should not be hampered, thus, the Makabasa Latta! educational support program.“The youth are the leaders of the community today, not in the distant future.” Meanwhile, Bontoc Mayor Jerome"Chagsen" Tudlong Jr. thanked Marcos for providing financial assistance to victims of a fire last April 11.
