ILOILO CITY — The city government here has announced a 4 percent increase to the salaries of all regular employees of the City Hall.
City Budget Officer Viminale Capulso said city government employees will begin receiving the increased pay starting in August this year.Capulso added that the wage hike is in accordance with Executive Order 64 issued by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on August 2, which mandates salary increases for government workers and permits an additional allowance for state employees.'This salary increase will be given in four tranches.
Based on EO 64, the first of the four tranches of the salary increase took effect on August 2. The second, third and fourth tranches will start on the same date from 2025 to 2027.The salary increase was realized after the City Council on Wednesday, August 28, approved the city's Supplemental Budget 2, which includes funding for the across-the-board salary raise.The supplemental budget allocates P411,355,313.
