Two generals have been given new posts in a minor Philippine National Police (PNP) revamp. Brig. Gen. Rodolfo Azurin is now the head of the Ilocos regional police, while his classmate Brig. Gen. Omega Jireh Fidel was tapped as his replacement as director of the Maritime Group.

Omega Jireh Fidel was tapped as his replacement as director of the Maritime Group.The new designation took effect today. PNP chief Gen. Archie Francisco Gamboa said the minor reorganization was triggered by the retirement of Brig. Gen. Joel Orduña, the erstwhile commander of the Ilocos regional police.
Azurin is the former chief of the PNP Maritime Group and also served as deputy director of the Directorate for Personnel and Records Management in 2019.Gamboa said Col. Abelardo Matillano will replace Fidel as the acting director of the Engineering Service, while Police Colonel Angeles Genorga Jr. assumes post as officer-in-charge of the PNP Training Service.
