Ayon sa ulat ng Reuters, taong 2006 nang pumanaw si Blessed Carlo Acutis dahil sa leukemia sa edad na 15, at binansagang "God's influencer."
Ginamit ni Acutis ang kaniyang kaalaman sa computer para sa Simbahan kung saan lumikha siya ng website at nagsaliksik ng Eucharistic miracles upang ibahagi ang nakakalap niyang mga impormasyon. Kinailangang operahan sa ulo ang anak pero walang katiyakan na ibinigay ang mga duktor sa kaniyang paggaling at maliit ang tiyansa ng anak na mabuhay.
Sa sumunod na araw, nakapagsalita na umano ang anak at nawala ang pagdurugo sa utak nang isailalim sa CT scan, hanggang sa tuluyan nang gumaling.
