IIO investiating after driver crashed near police blocking road in Comox

The Independent Investigations Office of B.C. is investigating after a driver was seriously injured after crashing near where police were blocking the road in Comox.

On Feb. 12 around 1 a.m., police were responding to a collision off Bates Road near Seal Bay Provincial Park.An officer went to his car and drove towards the direction the BMW had gone, and a short distance later found the BMW had crashed and the male driver had sustained serious, but not-life-threatening injuries.Sign up for our newsletter to get breaking news and daily digests sent to your email.
