The 20th edition of the ICTSI The Country Club Invitational golf tournament will be held from January 28th to 31st, showcasing top Filipino golfers competing for the P6-million championship at the challenging TCC course in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
The ICTSI The Country Club Invitational celebrates its 20th anniversary from January 28th to 31st, bringing together the Philippines' elite golfers for a thrilling competition at the challenging TCC course in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. The P6-million championship promises intense rivalries, dramatic moments, and surprises on every hole, setting the stage for an exciting new season on the Philippine Golf Tour.
This prestigious event attracts an elite field of competitors, including the Top 30 players from last year's PGT Order of Merit (OOM) and past champions, such as international stars like Miguel Tabuena. Beyond the substantial prizes, the TCC Invitational offers immense prestige, with the TCC course renowned as the ultimate test of skill and resilience. Tony Lascuña, who triumphed over Tabuena last year, enters as the favorite. His dominance in the 2024 season, securing his fifth OOM title – a record achievement – highlights his remarkable consistency and ability to overcome younger contenders. With a career spanning decades, the Davaoeño ace continues to inspire as he pursues another historic victory. Tabuena, one of the Philippines' top international players, is expected to return for another chance at glory. A previous TCC Invitational champion (2017), he aims to avenge his narrow losses to Micah Shin in 2018 and Lascuña. However, a potential scheduling conflict with the International Series India might prevent Tabuena from competing, adding an unexpected twist to the competition. Even without Tabuena, the tournament promises fierce competition. Guido van der Valk, the winner in both 2020 and 2023, leads a formidable group of challengers
