MANILA - Angel Locsin’s new show “Iba Yan” played a key role in helping a visually-impaired family get the help they need to survive the pandemic.

Michael and Angela Alonzo are both blind therapists, but lost their source on income due to the pandemic.

To survive, they decided to sell fruits, together with their eldest son Ralph, who is also visually-impaired. Despite the difficulties, the family persevered in selling fruits, especially since Ralph is saving up for a mobile phone that he will use for his online classes. Aside from giving them a bag of relief goods, Locsin and the 'Iba Yan' team coordinated with the local government of Taguig to help the family. One of them will also be employed as a staff in the city's social welfare office. The team will also bring the Alonzo family to an eye specialist to have their eyes checked.
