THE Philippine National Police-Internal Affairs Service on Tuesday recommended the dismissal from the service of six police commissioned officers, including a lieutenant colonel, and five police non-commissioned officers for grave misconduct, grave dishonesty and conduct unbecoming of a police officer arising from their involvement in a widely reported incident at Ayala Alabang Subdivision inMay.

It was later revealed through an investigation that the SAF officers were not performing their official duties with their respective units at the time of the incident. Instead, they were rendering protective services without the required approval from the Police Security and Protection Group , in clear violation of PNP policies.

The two SAF personnel arrested in Muntinlupa, in particular, were dismissed for moonlighting, grave irregularities in the performance of their duties and for engaging in protective services to private persons without proper authorization.
