Super League: Sam Tomkins last ditch efforts to score a match winning try sank St Helens to get Catalans through to the Super League Grand Final.
Broncos assistant coach John Cartwright has revealed Ricky Stuart suggested he put his hat in the ring to take over the vacant NSW Blues head coaching role.
The Raiders boss ruled himself out of the race, while Cartwright, who has previously worked with the NSW side, put his name forward on October 5. Cartwright also revealed he has already spoken to NSWRL chief executive David Trodden with the board set to make their looming decision.
