Following the footsteps of the Ioniq 5, Hyundai Motor Philippines is set to launch the all-electric Ioniq 6 electric streamliner by mid-2023. This will fast track HMPH’s electrification plans putting it in step with Hyundai Motor’s global electrification initiatives.Ioniq 6 swept the 2023 World Car of the Year, World Car Design of the Year, and World Electric Car of the Year
Both the Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 share the same design DNA but have their own unique typology with the Ioniq 6 going for “Sporty and Sleek.” The exterior shows off the brand’s signature 3D parametric pixel lights complimented by glass-like, transparent textures. Stepping inside, the cabin has been shaped like a cocoon for a cozier feeling. Despite this, manages to still be class-leading in terms of passenger comfort and cargo space because of its long wheelbase.
HMPH hasn’t revealed the local specification, but based on global specs, its battery is sized either at 53-kWh or 77.4-kWh. , this signals that the Ioniq 6 will be positioned as the flagship of Hyundai’s local EV range either offering more performance or standard features.
