Fil-American hurdler Lauren Hoffman wrapped up her Olympic campaign in the second repechage round of the women’s 400m hurdles competition of the 2024 Paris Olympics at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis Monday, Aug. 5.
Hoffman, 25, clocked 58.28 seconds – much slower than her 57.84sec in the first repechage– to settle for seventh place.The seven top hurdlers in three repechages are barging into the semifinal round where world record holder and reigning gold medalist Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone of USA and Tokyo silver winner Femke Bol of the Netherlands are expected to reach the finals anew.
Meanwhile, Spain-based John Cabang Tolentino will try his luck in the repechage of the men’s 110m hurdles Tuesday, Aug. 6, at the same venue.
