Our relaunched Wrong Car/Right Car is back for episode two!
Remember Wrong Car/Right Car? If you’ve been following Top Gear Philippines since our magazine days, then you probably do. We relaunched this old-but-gold segment last year. After a lot of waiting, we finally found another potential car buyer willing to be in front of the camera for episode two: A good friend of mine, Jenelle.
Just like last time, our guest is in the market for a subcompact crossover. The difference now is that Jenelle actually has a hybrid on her shortlist. The top three picks are the Honda HR-V, Toyota Corolla Cross, and Mitsubishi XForce. The budget is around P1.5 million. She wants the ground clearance and also needs the cargo space since she normally brings a week’s worth of stuff and then some at a time.
She usually drives solo, at most with her mom, but she also has a pet Welsh Corgi who, of course, deserves his own spot inside the vehicle. A modular second row that not only would let her easily load luggage but also bring her dog around would be a good bonus. That’s what also makes this Wrong Car/Right Car episode a bit tricky—all three basically fit the bill.
