A Melbourne taxi driver has explained how he helped a delivery rider on a bicycle, who had accidentally found himself on the West Gate Bridge, to make it safely across. 7NEWS
But earlier in the week shocking footage emerged of the rider making a dangerous dash across the bridge, as dozens of vehicles travelling up to 80km/h dodged him.Instead of driving past him, taxi driver Brayden Walls slowed down and put his hazards lights on.
“I just didn’t even think, I just did it,” the driver told 7NEWS.“As I pulled up to him I said: ‘Mate, you need to get off the freeway’ and he turned around to me and yelled out: ‘I know.’Taxi driver Brayden Walls slowed down and put his hazards lights on to protect the rider.The delivery rider is believed to have been following GPS directions and mistakenly ended up on the West Gate.
