Football Australia has hit Melbourne Victory with a record $550,000 fine after conducting a review of December’s violent pitch invasion at AAMI Park.
Approximately 150 of the club’s fans stormed the pitch during an A-League match against Melbourne City in mid-December armed with flares and fireworks.

Picture: Getty Images There will be no specifically allocated supporter seating for Melbourne Victory fans at away games for the 2022-23 men’s season either, and the club will have to work with Football Australia to ensure the return of fans for the following season.
