MANILA, Philippines — The House of Representatives on Monday received from the Executive branch a copy of the proposed national budget for 2025 amounting to P6.352 trillion.
The proposed outlay is P585 billion higher than this year's P5.768 trillion.The Department of Education, as mandated by law, will get the biggest allocation -- P977.6 billion.The Public Works sector was allocated P900 billion and the Health sector, P297.6 billion.The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation's proposed allocation of P74.4 billion is higher than this year's P61.5 billion.The Department of the Interior and Local Government was allotted P278.
1 billion.The allocation for the Department of Social Welfare and Development's Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or 4Ps was P114.2 billion, higher than this year's P106.3 billion.The proposed budget was submitted to House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez withother House officials present, including House Committee on Appropriations Chairman Elizaldy Co.
