The House Committee on Constitutional Amendments approved the bill and committee report of Resolution of Both Houses (RBH) No. 6, which proposed a hybrid constitutional convention (con-con) to revise the 1987 Constitution.

Rufus Rodriguez approved the measure on Monday, Feb. 27 during a hearing.
As per the measure, the election of delegates will be held on Oct. 30, 2023, or at the same time as the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections . Rodriguez said the appointment of a delegate should be approved by both the Senate President and the House Speaker. The following are the qualifications for being a con-con delegate: he or she should be a natural-born Filipino citizen, at least 25 years old, a college degree holder, and a resident of the district where he or she will be running for at least one year before the election.
