MANILA, Philippines — The House of Representatives on Monday reported that another employee, the 17th overall, tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 .

House Secretary General Jose Luis G. Montales said that the latest patient is a congressional staff who reported for work on July 14 and 16.Following the confirmation of the latest case, Montales urged that health protocols being implemented in the lower chamber be strictly followed. Health protocols are being implemented in the House such as holding of online or hybrid hearings to ensure that social distancing is being practiced.
