MANILA, Philippines — The House committee on appropriations has passed the proposal that aims to institutionalize the government’s transition to e-governance. Panel chair Ako Bicol Party-list Rep. Elizaldy Co said Sunday that the approval of House Bill No. 3 or the E-governance Act, a priority of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., is an important milestone in modernizing the systems and processes in the government. The proposed measure seeks to promote the use of information and communication technology in transforming government processes, operations, and service delivery into more citizen-centric, interconnected, and transparent governance.
