The percentage of moderate, severe, and critical coronavirus cases (COVID-19) confined in hospitals has gone up, an official from the Private Hospitals Association of the Philippines (PHAP) said Tuesday, Oct. 19.
In a virtual briefing, PHAP President Dr. Rene de Grano reminded the public to comply with the minimum health protocols amid the easing of restrictions to avoid another surge.
“Bumaba po ang ating active cases, pero yun pong percentage ng mga naco-confine as moderate, severe, and critical tumaas. Kasi nga po pagbaba nung total active cases, yung porsyento po ng moderate, severe, and critical, tumaas ,” De Grano said. “Dati po five percent yan, ngayon almost 15 percent. So ibig sabihin po hindi nagbabago yung mga naho-hospitalize sa ating private facilities ,” he noted.Metro Manila was placed under a less restrictive Alert Level 3 on Oct. 16 until the end of the month.
