The puppy was rushed to a nearby clinic but eventually died.

The security guard, identified as Jojo Malecdem, has since been dismissed. At the same time, the management of SM Supermalls said they would no longer allow his service at any of their malls nationwide.Also on Wednesday, the Quezon City government announced “a full investigation” into the incident.Paws said it received more than 190 e-mails from concerned citizens about this incident.

“We are as outraged as you are, and we are taking steps in filing this case with the help of a witness,” Paws said.“Paws condemns in the strongest possible terms this act of cruelty,” it continued. “We are demanding an immediate investigation of this incident, and we have gotten in touch with witnesses so that we can file a case.”
