We’re not counting on it coming here, though
Time and again, we’ve said that we miss having the Honda Jazz around. We’re not counting on it ever coming back to Southeast Asia, though. Honda ’s regional office has decided that the City Hatch is the way forward.
Still, that never stopped us from looking at Honda’s Japanese website to see if there are any updates with this model. Following a facelift a few years ago, the company has followed it up by introducing more minor improvements.Nissan Thailand plant could build more e-Power models for ASEANYou won’t see any differences on the outside. That was covered by the last model facelift back in October 2022.
So, what’s new for the 2025 model year, then? It’s more the addition of convenience features. All variants now get auto retract mirrors, auto power windows for all sides, a passenger seat back pocket, and a cargo area lamp. For individual variant improvements, the Home trim gets more leather trims inside, while the RS gets even more seat pockets and a rear armrest. Like the Home, the Crosstar gets more leather, along with a center console box for extra storage.
Engines are carried over from before. For the Japanese market, there's a choice between the familiar 1.5-liter engine that powers all of Honda's subcompact models or a 1.5-liter e:HEV arrangement. The non-hybrid makes 117hp and 142Nm of torque, while the e:HEV has a total system output of 121hp and offers up to 253Nm of torque. All-wheel drive is an option for most trim levels.
