FILIPINO hurdlers Lauren Hoffman and John Cabang took pride in representing the Philippines despite coming home with no medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
From a 15-hour flight to Manila , followed by a welcome home dinner at Malacañang Palace, a victory party and a media briefing, the Olympians showed grace and continued to show up with smiles for everyone.For Hoffman , it was a surreal experience as she felt the warmth of the Filipinos' welcome right after she stepped off the plane.

Just the minute we stepped off the plane, there was a red carpet, kids with flowers, and I got to meet my family and be welcomed with warm hugs so that was special to me,' Hoffman told The Manila Times at the victory party in Newport World Resorts.Hoffman finished last in women's 400-meter hurdles repechage after clocking 58.28 seconds, far from her personal record of 55.47 seconds.Hoffman said she competed with an Achilles tendinitis but was proud to finish the race with all her best.
