Port Hill resident Hilton MacLennan is seeking the Progressive Conservative nomination for District 23, Tyne Valley-Sherbrooke. ContributedPORT HILL, P.E.I. — Port Hill resident Hilton MacLennan is seeking the Progressive Conservative nomination for District 23, Tyne Valley-Sherbrooke, to run in the upcoming provincial election.
“Our district is made up of rural and urban communities and it was built by farmers, fishers, shellfishers, small and large business owners and workers,” said MacLennan, who is a third-generation dairy farmer. “We need to continue to develop more affordable housing options in Summerside and the surrounding communities and with my business and life experience, I feel that I can be a strong advocate for the residents of Tyne Valley-Sherbrooke as part of a new Dennis King PC government.”
MacLennan, who currently works with Port Hill Transport and manages the O'Leary Co-op feed mill and retail store, has a long history of community involvement.In addition, he has been a member of organizations such as the Stewart Memorial Foundation, Tyne Valley Minor Hockey Association and Friends of Stewart Memorial Hospital.It has been our privilege to have the trust and support of our East Coast communities for the last 200 years.
