Cyclone ‘Nika’ weakened into severe tropical storm on Monday evening as it hovered over Sinait, Ilocos Sur, prompting state weather bureau PAGASA to lift

Nevertheless, it will remain as a severe tropical storm throughout its passage within the PAR region,” PAGASA noted.
