In all, the former deputy speaker tapped the services of three helicopters, which significantly cost more than conventional transportation. “We need to save lives and must act quick,” noted Teves. The province had been placed under a state of calamity following the Christmas day floods, which was triggered by the shear line. At least seven individuals perished from the severe weather conditions.
