BUSINESS: Remittance growth slowsTopping business, overseas Filipino worker remittances remained positive as of the first half, but growth slowed for a second straight month, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas data showed on Tuesday. Overall or personal remittances grew by 2.2 percent to $3.13 billion in June from $3.06 billion a year earlier, the B.S.P. reported, with cash sent home via banks alone totaling $2.81 billion, 2.1 percent higher compared to the $2.75 billion recorded in June last year.
