The team is coming back to the country to showcase their amazing trick shots, rim-rattling dunks, ball handling wizardly and humorous antics for the first time since 2009 and fifth time since the team formed in 1926.
The renowned basketball exhibition team Harlem Globetrotters will kick off the Asian leg of their 2024 World Tour on Nov. 12 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum with stops also set in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.The team is coming back to the country to showcase their amazing trick shots, rim-rattling dunks, ball handling wizardry and humorous antics for the first time since 2009 and fifth time since the team was formed in 1926.
“It’s been too long, way too long . One thing that we know is that Asia has some of the most passionate fans all over the globe bar none. And we are really excited to be back out here and meet the fans,” said Harlem Globetrotters member Alex “Moose” Weekes during a press conference in Novotel Manila on Monday, July 29.
The team then travels to Malaysia for their Nov. 14 show before staging a two-day performance in the Britama Arena in Jakarta, Indonesia on Nov 16 and 17. The Globetrotters then wrap up the tour in another two-day show on Nov. 23 and 24 at the Singapore EXPO Hall 5. Aside from the show, both Wham and Moose expressed their excitement meeting the fans as well as trying out some of the country's best dishes.
