Following the opening day of competition, the world championship veteran admitted to feeling some butterflies before competing.
Denelle Pedrick, of Wilcox, Sask, and Black's teammate at Alta, was 18th on vault, 39th on floor and and 66th on balance beams. "Today was what we were looking forward to the most," said Black of Sunday's qualification."I don't think we could have asked for anything better than that. Super happy with that. Just looking forward to getting another opportunity out here with the team on the competition floor. Getting more experience with them, building confidence and just showing what Canadian gymnastics is all about.
