And then when I got home, Devon wasn’t there.
The cousin is eight years Devon’s senior and has had lots of run-ins with police, although he’s not facing any charges in the teen’s disappearance.“He’s into drugs, into human trafficking, prostituting girls,” she said of the cousin. “There’s just a list.”“I honestly in my heart don’t feel Devon was trafficked,” Gray said.
His mother doesn’t know if Devon might have had enough drugs on him to make him a target when he went missing. “He didn’t come home. So, where he spent six hours plus, I have no idea,” she said. “That day was a snowstorm. I don’t think he would have been just hanging out on the sidewalk playing basketball. I would like to know who he met up with.”Detectives have played her recordings of Devon speaking with taxi dispatchers.Whatever happened to her son that night, the prognosis is not good.
Devon’s mom was touched by a recent campaign that encouraged people to light candles in their front windows in her son’s name.
