The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) continues to affect the western section of Northern Luzon on Monday, and will cause scattered rain showers over Batanes and Cagayan, PAGASA said in its forecast.

These areas will also have cloudy skies and thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may result due to moderate to heavy rains.

The easterlies meanwhile are affecting Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Eastern Samar, Leyte, and Southern Leyte. These areas will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, with flash floods or landslides a possibility due to moderate to heavy rains. Metro Manila and the rest of the country on the other hand will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the northern and western sections of Luzon, and slight to moderate in the rest of the country.
