Authorities from the Philippine Bureau of Immigration escort Cassandra Li Ong and Shiela Guo—the sister of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo—upon their arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 on August 22, 2024. Two individuals associated with the ousted mayor Alice Guo of Bamban, Tarlac were deported back to the Philippines following their arrest and detention in Indonesia.
They were immediately placed under arrest upon their arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport around 5:00 p.m. It stated that the two women, along with two other persons, who are still at large, are “wanted by the Philippine government for immigration violations and are prime suspects in transnational crime cases.”
It was learned that a Singaporean national assisted the four in making hotel reservations at the Harris Hotel Batam Center.
