TUMPAT: Kira-kira 1,000 penduduk di Kampung Simpangan di sini terpaksa menggunakan air Sungai Golok untuk menyambut Hari Raya Aidilfitri esok selepas masalah gangguan bekalan yang melanda kawasan itu masih belum pulih.
Seorang penduduk, Yaakob Yusof, 56, berkata, walaupun ada perkhidmatan lori tangki air menghantar bekalan air namun ia masih belum mencukupi.
“Disebabkan permintaan yang terlalu tinggi, bekalan air yang dihantar setiap hari itu akan habis dalam tempoh dua jam,” katanya ketika ditemui di sini hari ini. Katanya, tindakan itu terpaksa diambil kerana dia tidak mempunyai pilihan disebabkan masalah bekalan air.
