A NUMBER of private education groups have expressed support for Education Secretary Sonny Angara , and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Director General Jose Francisco Benitez , saying the two officials have brought about an unprecedented level of coordination and collaboration between their respective agencies.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. had asked all Cabinet secretaries to resign, as his administration implemented a government reset. Among the organizations that backed the two officials are the Coordinating Council of Private Educational Associations , Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines, Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities, Unified Technical Vocational Education and Training of the Philippines Inc., and the Private Education Assistance Committee . 'His tenure has already brought key policy shifts that reinforce complementary synergies of the public and private educational institutions in addressing the infrastructure gaps of the Philippine education system — chief among them is the strengthening of public-private education partnerships, the review and expansion of education subsidies in basic education, with a renewed focus on equity and access in the allocation of subsidies,' PEAC said in a statement. The group also lauded Benitez for his clear and inclusive strategy in modernizing technical and vocational education and training.
