GRADUATES of technical-vocational (tech-voc) education and training (TVET) programs, as well as their employers, expressed satisfaction on the quality of education and capabilities acquired from such initiatives.
The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority said its tech-voc finishers are “very satisfied” with the kind of training they have received, as their companies and bosses found their performance to be “very satisfactory.”
“The SETG in the last 5 years have shown that an average 93 percent of tech-voc graduates are either ‘very satisfied’ or ‘satisfied’ with their training,” said Tesda Secretary and Director General Suharto T. Mangudadatu. “We regularly ask tech-voc graduates to rate their training based on entry requirements, trainers’ methodologies, tools and equipment, knowledge expertise of the trainers, learning materials, training activities, training facilities, training duration, level of knowledge, skills and attitudes acquired, assessment method,” the Tesda chief noted.
Serving as a tracking and feedback mechanism, the ESS generates inputs and comments from the industry about its perspective on the performance of employed TVET graduates, TVET provisions, certification, and other TVET-related areas.
