IPOH: Visitors to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital who park their cars by the roadside outside the premises will not be slapped with summonses until May, says Perak police chief Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri.

The Perak police chief said that this is due to the lack of public parking bays in the area and that many are seeking treatment at the hospital daily. "The development is expected to be completed in May," he added at a press conference after a high profile policing programme at the Ramadan bazaar near the Perak Stadium here on Wednesday ."People should not double-park or park in a manner that could cause traffic congestion or block ambulances from going in or out of the hospital,” he saidHe said that the police will have scheduled patrols in the area to ensure everything is smooth.
