Deputy Home Minister Shamsul Anuar Nasarah says the police force needs more members for ideal operational effectiveness. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, April 4, 2023.Deputy Home Minister Shamsul Anuar Nasarah however said this number is insufficient, taking into account the country’s rapid development and population growth.

“PDRM is currently studying the overall optimisation of staffing for Bukit Aman police headquarters, contingent police headquarters, district police headquarters and police stations. “Through the study, the ideal staffing number for all levels is being identified to ensure there is no issue of lack of personnel that can interfere with operational effectiveness,” he said at the wind-up of the Supply Bill 2023 debate on behalf of the Home Ministry.Related News
