"They lack commitment, so we need to study and assess the situation. It is not easy to develop our own social media platform, but some countries have attempted it. We will look into it," Fahmi added. However, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi warned that social media platforms that don't apply for licenses starting 1 August risk being banned.
