The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission on Saturday said criminal charges would be filed next week against Bamban Mayor Alice Guo for her part in suspected illegal activities.
“Honestly, there are quite a few criminal charges we could bring against the mayor of Bamban. So, what we discussed last night was that we should start with the most serious and non-bailable charges first, and then deal with the other charges later on,” Casio said during the forum. Guo is under Senate investigation for her alleged involvement with Zun Yuan Technology Incorporated’s activities in Bamban. The entity’s operations were raided by police and military in March for suspected illegal activities at the Baofu Land Development Inc. compound behind Bamban Municipal Hall in Tarlac.
“I don’t want to give Mayor Guo’s lawyers any info on the evidence we have until the case is in court, you know, just in case they get ready. But hey, they’ll see it all when the charges are officially made,” Casio said.
