“My fiancee’s dad passed away a couple of nights ago, so it was for both of them,” she said of her celebration after burying Australia’s sixth spot-kick – the first sudden death – in the marathon shootout.Katrina Gorry with her daughter Harper after Australia’s win on Saturday night.“My head’s been a bit everywhere tonight, but I know that I have full support, not just here, but I know her family in Sweden too and I just wanted to play for him and make him proud of that.
“Football is my happy place, everything just leaves when you get on the field,” she said. “When you have the girls backing you up every step of the way, you have so much belief that we’ll just keep on going.“It was tough, but every moment we locked with teammates’ eyes we had the belief that, if it came to it, we could go right to the end – to penalties – and win.
