The PRC said that its 102 chapters nationwide are trained to report and respond to their communities’ needs in case of a medical emergency or disaster.Philippine Red Crossat sa atingMeanwhile, Dr. Gwendolyn T. Pang, PRC’s secretary general, reminded the public to observe safety precautions during the holidays.
“It is important to make sure that our vehicles are roadworthy, especially for long drives. We also remind everyone of the importance of wearing seatbelts,” Pang said. At home, she reminded, people should make sure that the food being served is clean and safe, especially for very young children and the elderly.PRC’s Hotline 143, or 8790 2300, is also open 24/7. PRC’s blood service facilities nationwide will also be open during the holidays.
